replacing icons on shortcuts

Shortcut icons

Each of the sites bookmarked on my Mozilla has a unique icon, however, when I place a shortcut for that site/link on my desktop, I see only Mozilla icons. I would like to use the site's icon on my Desktop, as well, for quick identification.

Any clues?

If you are having problems with the icons, you can try the online shortcut maker, but first you'll have to download the icon from th site.

Usually, the icon is named favicon.ico, so type in the address bar of you web browser the address of the site followed by favicon.ico and then download it. For this site, you would use http://www.rw-designer.com/favicon.ico

Thanks for the favicon.ico hint. That works well on most of the links I needed!
