Can't see favicon.icowww or not www
Hello,
sorry if this is a simple question but I am new.
why would the favicon appear at http://mysite.com/favicon.ico but not at http://www.mysite.com/favicon.ico ?

If those two urls point at the same site, it may be a caching issue. Your web browser still remembers the "old" or none favicon.

when I change the picture on the site it changes on both of them

Try the site in a browser you have never used before. Be sure you have the favicon specified correctly in your html code.

okay thanks for all you help here. Maybe another dumb question but how do I get it to work - I cleared temp internet files but still not working?

Depends on browser, but I simply would not care about it. Try access the favicon directly and refresh it. But anyway, what you do would have no effect on visitors of your web, so I am not sure it is worth worrying about it.
