Windows Vista

I recently downloaded Virtual Photgrapher on my desktop pc and have been loving it. I downloaded it onto my new Toshiba laptop, which came with Windows Vista and VP does not work. I open a picture in photoshop (elements 2.0) and click on the VP in filters and the computer freezes. Any thoughts on why this is happening and anything I can do to fix it?
