RESOLVED: Might've been because the dithering box was checked upon saving the file.
Pixel colors change to other colors
I'm making 32x32 pixel icons. When I go and open it, the pixel colors change even on an icon I haven't edited in weeks. These are in animated GIF format- they're all in one file. Makes me feel like I did a bunch of work for nothing.
